Patryk Scelina has been present in the music industry as a composer and sample libraries creator for more than a decade. His works appear in various media outlets, perhaps the most prominent one being video games. When composing scores and designing adaptive music systems, Scelina applies an individual approach to each project. His sampling and sound design experience allow him to enhance traditional instruments and achieve organic, unique sound quality. With game mechanisms in mind, his music seamlessly blends into the narrative, enhancing the immersion in cohesive ways.

When working on games, he usually gathers professionals to deliver emotion, storytelling, and immersion through music. His most recent game soundtracks are especially varied stylistically. “MOUSE: P.I. For Hire” is a noir-fueled detective story set in a hand-drawn black-and-white world inspired by 1930s cartoons, elevated by an original big band jazz soundtrack. “GORD: The Alliance” continues the journey through the dark world of Gord, bringing a grim fantasy atmosphere of relentless conflict, uneasy alliances, and lurking horrors. The soundtrack to “KAO The Kangaroo” is a joyful, magical hybrid inspired by ethnic music. The score to “SlavicPunk: Oldtimer” accompanies a dystopian detective story set in a cyberpunk world. Its intense and gritty sound design, featuring elements of punk and electronic music, complements the game’s dark and immersive atmosphere. 

Scelina’s music also appears in multiple TV and Netflix productions around the world, as he collaborates with one of the biggest music publishers, BMG Production Music, creating music for various TV shows, trailers, and teasers.

Aside from a composer career, he runs Sonic Atoms – a sample library development studio, sharing his designs with composers around the world.

His other source of inspiration and great joy is teaching. Scelina shares his passion with students as a lecturer at The University of Lower Silesia and The Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław.
